About this item

  • Alternative to Synthetic Silicones : Coco Caprylate Caprate is a natural, plant-derived emollient made from coconut alcohol and caprylic/capric fatty acids. It delivers a light, non-greasy texture that enhances skin softness and glide, making it a premium alternative to synthetic silicones in cosmetic formulations. Ideal for eco-conscious brands and natural product lines.
  • Key Benefits: This versatile emollient offers excellent skin compatibility, rapid absorption, and improved product aesthetics. It enhances the sensory experience of creams and serums, reduces greasiness, and provides lasting softness. A must-have ingredient for formulators seeking smooth, eco-friendly performance.
  • Silky Finish : Coco Caprylate Caprate is used for its ability to improve skin feel, enhance spreadability, and impart a luxurious silky finish without oily residue. It mimics the sensory profile of dimethicone while remaining biodegradable, making it a preferred choice in clean beauty, vegan, and natural skincare formulations. Unlike heavier emollients such as Isopropyl Myristate or synthetic silicones like Dimethicone, it provides a dry, silky touch without clogging pores or leaving residue.
  • Application & Usage Rates: Usage levels vary depending on product type: 1–5% in facial creams and lotions for lightweight hydration, 2–10% in hair conditioners and serums for smoothness and shine, and up to 15% in body oils or sunscreens for improved spreadability. Compatible with both oil and emulsion-based systems.
  • Common Product Examples: You’ll find Coco Caprylate Caprate in luxury moisturizers, facial serums, sunscreens, hair conditioners, and natural foundations. It’s frequently used in silicone-free formulations from clean beauty brands to enhance texture, slip, and skin feel without compromising performance.
